We are seeking a Quality Management Systems (QMS) Group Leader to join the Planning & Performance Management Department (P&PMD) of Operations & Business Services (O&BS).
O&BS is one of the five major business and service lines within Saudi Aramco. O&BS is responsible for providing a broad range of services to the company’s operations. This encompasses: constructing, maintaining and operating residential communities and office buildings; delivering transportation services for all businesses and its employees; providing safety, fire protection and industrial security services to safeguard communities and facilities; and delivering training and development services for employees. In addition, O&BS is the corporate liaison for the provision of medical services for its employees, dependents, and retirees.
The QMS Group Leader will drive the transformation of quality across the O&BS division. This role will lead an initiative that will change paradigms across the division, and enable the division’s personnel to view quality as an untapped source of operational and commercial advantage. The core function of this role is ultimately to realize superior quality of service, and flawless compliance to corporate standards. In doing so the division will dramatically reduce quality-related costs, improve end user experience of its services, and improve the effective utilization of its resources. In short, the goal is to consistently meet or exceed end user expectations at every touchpoint. This role is about stepping into our service organization as it exists currently, and establishing a new quality management system. This QMS will align to the division’s strategic plan, and mitigate risks in achieving its objectives.
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or business management from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have 12 to 15 + years of experience in the quality management industry, with a minimum of 8 to 10 years in a senior leadership role, creating, leading, and sustaining companywide quality initiatives.
Additionally the following experience or qualifications are highly preferred:
Successful implementation of high impact quality management systems (QMS) in a large complex organization. Significant experience working with operational executives on planning and implementing major change initiatives. In depth knowledge of quality measurement techniques and practices, including appropriate certifications. Ability to establish and manage a small multinational and high performance team to support all QMS activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Create and implement a new QMS for the O&BS Business Line, lead the effort to drive this program, and introduce a world-class quality system into a large and complex business.
Ensure that the QMS, once created, is aligned to the division’s strategic plans and brings a unity of purpose and direction.
Provide high level expertise in communicating the purposes of this initiative, implementing it, and sustaining an ongoing culture of quality throughout the division.
Drive the creation of key metrics for business critical processes through the division’s broad and diverse services.
Realize systematic improvements in the measurement, management and mitigation of poor quality practices, identify their root causes and engineer solutions to remove such problems.
Interface credibly with and influence executive management.
Adapt to Saudi Aramco’s corporate culture, as well as that of the region.
