We are seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst, with Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) expertise, to join the Business Intelligence Solutions Department (BISD) of the Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management Center (PB&PMC).
BISD manages solutions and systems for Performance Management, Planning & Forecasting, and Profitability & Cost Management, through a robust governed framework of models and analytical tools.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing business systems studies within the area of managerial accounting, and recommending improvements or enhancements to those business systems. You will normally interface directly with the department or related user representatives. You will assume the department client role, with respect to business system development, and represent the respective department.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Commerce, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Physical Sciences.
You will have 10 years of diversified experience in computer systems analysis or/and systems engineering. Preferable focus is in Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) business application.
You should be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written, and have demonstrated abilities in problem analysis and resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Work with organizations at all levels to maintain corporate management accounting models in Profitability and Cost Management, which comprise the primary source from which information is gathered, for analysis and decision making at the corporate level.
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare feasibility reports, conduct stakeout studies, and prepare project proposal reports.
Prepare the user manuals and associated documentation resulting from business system model implementation.
Prepare conversion plans and user installation plans for applicable organizations.
Provide the support and advice, and business procedures necessary to maintain the integrity of data, which originates within department business organizations.
Provide training to operational and staff personnel, to maximize the effectiveness of business systems within the assigned department.
Conduct special studies as assigned.
